The second-hand marketplace Members Share Frustration Over Sizing Changes
Shoppers are voicing their frustration following a change that caused items being listed as the wrong size.
The second-hand shopping app has revised its sizing categories for women's and children's garments without notifying all shoppers about the modification.
Digital Channels Response
Many shoppers and sellers are posting online stating that platform listings now display a modified sizing category than originally posted as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the new system was more in line with similar services.
They have suggested members to examine their items and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Updates
Before the change, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, said garments she listed with size 14 tags were displaying on the service as larger sizing 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she explained.
Required Changes
Another shopper, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item".
"This situation is especially annoying, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
Platform Context
The app has more than 100 million members, including 18 million in the UK.
It has become a favored option to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time that an unexpected update within the service has received backlash: previously, the platform withdrew an update to its shipping options following member complaints.
