Performer Denies Anti-Vax Views Following Voicing Contentious Coronavirus Film

Liam Neeson has lent his narration to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the safety of immunizations and commends ex- health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Feature's Contentious Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a popular book written by a controversial scientist, who became famous during the global outbreak for claims that the virus was a result of a bad strain of the influenza shot.

Her collaborator, a producer, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone radio host the Infowars host. He recently posted praising Neeson's participation in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Statement

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have provided a comment firmly refuting implications that he supports anti-vax views.

"Everyone can acknowledge that misconduct might be present within the drug industry, but that cannot be confused with rejection of vaccines," the statement reads. "Liam never has been, and remains not, anti-vax. His long work with Unicef underscores his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The response added that the actor was not involved in crafting the project's editorial content and that concerns about its claims are best addressed to the creators.

Major Assertions In the Feature

As presented, the script read by Neeson makes several controversial claims:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have called for "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It posits that "science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The narration also criticizes stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of the immunizations, it mentions a view that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Background and Ongoing Issues

The documentary includes a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was subsequently the focus of a correction by the corporation for editorial breaches.

In recent weeks, Kennedy called on the CDC to change its longstanding position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, despite a recent study from the WHO confirming no such link has been found.

A Past Statement of Endorsement

Differing from the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past shown strong support for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "an incredible achievement," noting that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This is not the finish of our narrative. It is the dawn of a different phase."
